Asuta Tsurumi is a chef trainee from Earth. In an attempt to save his father's precious cooking knife from a fire that was burning down his family's restaurant, he doesn't make it. When he wakes up, he finds himself lost in a whole other world. Together with the huntress Ai Fa, he uses trial and error in his attempts to elevate the cuisine of the forest edge.
